November & December Recap!

It's been a few months since I've had time to blog, but I wanted to recap the last few months really quick. I hope to find time in the very near future to write a "The Best of 2016" post so stay tuned.

For some reason we got the bright idea to let our husband's attempt to do our make-up. It was so hilarious, didn't they do a fabulous job?
At the beginning of November, we spent a weekend away in a cabin with my family. It was so wonderful. Uncle Aaron loves G Baby!
Love him!
I completed my 2nd half marathon with these two.
Alli and Paige making it look easy.
We spent Thanksgiving day with my family and then went to Aaron's parents for the rest of the weekend.
It was such a gorgeous evening that we had to get a little golfing in.
The girl's just supervised.
Love these people so much!
Aaron and I went on our annual Thanksgiving deer hunt. The one time I deer hunt with him during the year, and just like always, we didn't see a thing.
Happy Thanksgiving!
We had a delicious Thanksgiving dinner with The Southern Family.

I could gobble this little turkey up!
We attended our annual corny Christmas sweater party. As always, it never disappoints.
We didn't have anything to wear so I ran to Wal-Mart right before the party and snagged these awesome sweaters.
While we were in town, I hosted a painting party with some talented ladies in my parent's Sunday School class. It was so much fun and they did a wonderful job!
Samsy modeling his winter gear!
We took a little day trip to finally meet sweet baby Merritt! She was absolutely perfect and we had so much fun playing with all the kiddos.
Sweet Bradley, Alli and Merritt!
Best friends since we were their kid's age, so fun!
In December, I hosted a painting party at the cutest little venue in my hometown. There were about 25 people that attended. It was so much fun to meet new people and always great to see old friends.

The whole group, everyone did such a great job!
We had a blast at our friend's Christmas pajama party. We wore our onesies, of course.

We rang in the New Year with these wonderful people. It was The Grimmett's 3rd Annual New Year's Eve party and it never disappoints. We had WAY too much fun and stayed up WAY too late!
Don't know what I would do without these girls.
We spent New Year's Day at my parent's house. My Me-Ma was in town visiting, it was so great to spend some time with her. Love this four generation picture!
Me-Ma and her youngest Great Grandchild. So precious
Lolli and Pop love their G Baby!

On top of all the fun things we had going on, I stayed busy with photo shoots, editing, and my Etsy business.

Thanks to all the above clients for letting me take your pictures.
Merritt is the sweetest little onesie and headband model!

Here are some of the new pieces I've been working on and will be teaching classes on this month.

Thanks for reading. Have a happy Saturday!!

Our Weekend @ The Bunkhouse

This last weekend was the best. We spent the weekend with my family in a cabin near Medicine Park. We stayed in the neatest place called The Bunkhouse. There was gorgeous scenery, home cooked meals enjoyed on the patio, campfires, hiking, and lots of fun with my favorite people. I'll let the pictures do the talking because I took a ton of them...
This was our home for the weekend and man, was the hospitality great!
We spent most of our time on the patio.
 Enjoying these beautiful views.

My mom bought my brother and husband hammock tents for their birthdays and they decided to sleep in them one night. Trevor came back inside because of an annoying owl and Aaron made it to 4:30am when the sprinkler system came on and gave him a nice bath.

We will be coming back and staying here again!

We also got to enjoy the beautiful horses, a pet dog and goat.

Baby G was a little angel the entire time. We got lots of smiles out of her.
We took advantage of the beautiful scenery and took a few family photos for our Christmas cards.

So lucky to call these two my parents. They are such a great example of unconditional love.
And so are my brother and his wife!

We always have to do a crazy pic.
 Love him so much!
The sweetest slobbery kisses.
All the girls
Can't get enough of these baby blues.
 She's ready to hike!

Unfortunately, we didn't get to do much outside on Sunday because it was storming all day, but we did enjoy the rain storm on the metal roof while sitting on the patio.

It was so relaxing, it knocked her smooth out.

I was in major need of a weekend getaway to somewhere relaxing, with no schedule, surrounded by nature and my favorite people. It was so great. I wish we could do it more often. I'm so thankful my parents planned this trip. If you're ever looking for a great place to stay, check out The Bunkhouse!
