What I'm Loving Wednesday- Wedding Edition!

I'm linking up with Jamie for What I'm Loving Wednesday!

We are down to 66 days until our wedding...EEEKK!! It has really started to actually sink in these past few weeks with all the fun festivities going on.

This is what I've been up to lately:

1. Monday night we had an invitation assembling party. My sister-in-law and her sweet family came over to help us tie twine on the invites. We were able to get them all finished. HALLELUJAH! I don't know what I would have done without them and my mom. It would have taken me forever to do it by myself.
 Working hard
The box of invitations, ready to be mailed out!

2. I decided on and ordered our wedding favors. They are being shipped right now and I can't wait to get them in the mail. They are so fun and cute, but I'm going to keep them a surprise until after the wedding. Aaron doesn't even know about it...it's more of a surprise for him :)

3. I decided what we're going to do for our send off. I wanted to use balloons, but since helium is ridiculously expensive and hard to find, we are just going to use bubbles. Kind of bummed about the balloons, but oh well!

4. My final dress fitting is this Saturday. I've had a total of three fittings and this is the last one. I'm really excited to see exactly how it's going to look. It will also be fun because my MOH, mom, and me-ma will be with me for the fitting.

5. My first bridal shower is this Sunday. I am sooooooo excited for the shower and I can't wait to see everyone. My second bridal shower is the following Saturday. Can't wait to show you guys all the details afterwards.

6. My bridal portraits are next Thursday. If there's one thing I'm most excited about right now, it would be these pictures. I get to spend a day off getting pampered while I get my trial hair and make-up done. Then, I get to put on my dress and take pictures. Sounds like my idea of a perfect day! I'm very anxious to see how my hair and make-up turn out. I can't wait to work with our amazing photographer!

7. I bought Aaron's wedding band and it came in the mail a few weeks ago. Here is what we picked out together:
I bought it on Etsy. It was pretty much exactly what he was looking for. Brushed silver without the shiny look and no rounded edges. I hope it fits!

8. We got our first wedding gift via mail a few weeks ago. It was so exciting and fun to come home to a wedding package. I got really excited about it. Of course, we had to document it for Aaron to see. I hate that he isn't here to witness it and help me open the gifts. I'm sure he will get plenty of that in after the wedding.
Can you tell I was excited? Notice Samson and his rubber ducky in the background.
We got this beautiful platter that we registered for. It matches the casual china we picked out. I love it!

9. Aaron sent me this picture text message two nights ago.
Glad he's keeping count. So cute! It made my night.

Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday!!

Love,
Quincee

If You Really Knew Me.....

......Then you'd know......

1. I have never had a broken bone, stitches, or a cavity in my entire 25 years of life. Knock on wood. I hope I don't jinx myself.

2. I attribute my lack of cavities to the fact that I am a maniac tooth brusher. I brush my teeth harder than anyone I've ever met. I also brush for at least 3 minutes and I can't stand in front of a mirror while doing it. I just recently started brushing my teeth in the shower.....two birds with one stone, right?

3. I have a line of freckles on my upper lip that look like natural lip liner, therefore, I wear lip liner everyday so it doesn't look weird.

4. The one thing I don't leave the house without is lipstick. It drives me nuts when girls don't wear lipstick with their makeup....I think it makes their mouth blend in with their face. Plus, it makes your teeth appear whiter.

5. I am a nervous sweater and it doesn't take much to make me blush (when I say blush, I mean my face gets bright red). It is extremely embarrassing to me and I hate when it happens. I can run into someone I haven't seen in a while and for some reason I will be drenched in sweat just talking to them...even if I'm not that nervous.

6. My lip quivers really bad when I cry and it is not a pretty cry at all. I also can't get a word out when I cry because I can't catch my breath. I get the quivering from my dad. We cry the exact same way. Aaron's younger brother witnessed the quivering last year, and now he calls me quiver.

7. I have a soft spot in my heart for Golden Retrievers. I've had three different dogs in my lifetime and all three were Golden Retrievers or mixed with some golden.
It must run it the family

8. I am a hairstylist and I'm scared to death to branch out and experiment with my hair. My hair is naturally blonde, but I do foil it lightly twice a year. I have a huge girl crush on Emma Stone and I secretly want to be her. Therefore, I really want to color my hair red! Maybe after the wedding.
She is flawless! I love her so much better with red hair.

9. I absolutely hate talking on the phone.

10. I am addicted to chips.....any and all flavors. I used to eat family size bags of chips in one sitting in college. It is impossible for me to eat a sandwich without chips.

11. If I could be anything when I grow up, I would be a wedding planner/photographer/hair stylist/owner of a store that provided all three in one.

12. When my friends talk about their friend "Quincee" to their other friends and I meet them for the first time, they are usually shocked to see a white girl. Most of them assume I am a black boy. How many times can you say friend in one sentence?

13. When I was a little girl, I could have passed as Chris Farley's twin sister. No lie.

14. My brother looks like Brett Favre.

Is it just me or are these pictures eerily similar? Same eyes, nose, mouth, teeth, face shape, hairline...everything!
And if you know my dad, does this picture not look exactly like him as a teen? CREEPY!

15. I own three pairs of maternity pants and no, I'm not pregnant. I accidentally bought a pair of maternity khaki canvas pants one time and I didn't realize it until I wore them for the first time. I thought they just had an elastic waist band like most canvas pants do. I fell in love with them and have since bought two other pairs. I haven't spent over $6 on any of them...I bought them all on clearance. I call them my fat pants and I wear them on days when I don't feel like messing with a button or zipper. Weird, I know.

16. I am the world's worst at geography and history. I made an unsatisfactory in geography in the 5th grade and I know as much now as I did back then....oops! I could write a book on the stupid things I've said about history and geography related things.

So how well do you know me? If you don't know me well, then you probably think I'm a little odd....and you're probably right.

My Bachelorette Weekend!

Hello again....I'm back. It's been a while since I've posted, but life has been a little hectic and there's been no extra time in the day for blogging. Stay tuned because I have a lot of fun wedding parties, showers, crafts, gifts, etc to blog about in the next few weeks/months.

Last weekend was my bachelorette weekend in Ft. Worth, Texas. It was a ton of fun and I loved getting to spend time with all my closest friends. Here's a recap of our weekend:

I got into town on Friday and met up with a few of my college friends for some sun bathing and pool time. After we finished laying out, I went with a few friends to dinner and enjoyed the beautiful weather with dinner and drinks on the patio. Once all the other out of town girls made it, we headed to Times Ten Wine Cellar for wine tasting, crackers/cheese/dip, and a fun game of "how well do I know Aaron."

Love these girls
My mom, me, and my aunt
My mom, sister-in-law, me, and my aunt

Next, we headed to Vice for some more socializing and some dancing.

The next day we got up and lounged around until the lingerie shower. Then, we went shopping around downtown Ft. Worth and had lunch at Oliver's out on the patio.
Lots of goodies. Thanks girls for all the gifts, you guys are awesome. I loved them all!

Saturday night we took the trolley to the stockyards. We shopped around, ate dinner at Risky's Steakhouse, and then headed to Billy Bob's. I must say, it was my first time to Billy Bob's and I was a little disappointed. Don't get me wrong, it was a really huge, awesome place but Willy Nelson's son was playing that night and he played rock music for almost 4 hours so we couldn't dance or two-step like we had planned. Big time bummer.

This is by far my favorite picture from the entire weekend. I love it!

Sunday, we woke up and had breakfast at Cowtown Diner and then headed home. It was a great weekend getaway with all my favorite girls. I really really appreciated everyone coming. I know it was a drive for some and I know it wasn't cheap, but it really meant a lot to me that you guys came to celebrate this special time in my life.

Wedding Update!

We've gotten quite a few wedding things marked off the to-do list since my last wedding related post on March 1st.

1. We booked our honeymoon flight!! (Thank you, Sherry for your hard work and research) We will be leaving the morning after the wedding, but luckily we found a flight that doesn't leave at the crack of dawn so we won't have to get to the airport too early.

2. I bought Aaron's wedding band tonight. I'm very excited about this purchase. He helped pick it out and I definitely approve. I can't wait until it comes in the mail (I ordered it online) and I really can't wait to see it on his finger :)

3. My final dress fitting is this Saturday....eek! I'm so excited to see how the dress looks with all the final alterations and little details.

4. I finished addressing all the invitations today.....phew, what a relief. I'm so glad to have that done. Now we just have to tie the baker's twine around each invitation and put them in the envelopes.

5. My bachelorette party is next weekend! YAHOOOO!!! Seriously cannot wait to see all my friends. I know we're going to have a fun group of girls and hopefully a good turnout. I am in major need of some quality girl time :) Be prepared for a recap of the entire weekend when I return.

6. My first shower is coming up in 3 weeks and my second shower is in 4 weeks. I'm very excited to see everyone at the showers and to see what all the hostesses have planned.

7. I've finished hostesses gifts for my first shower and I'm in the process of working on hostesses gifts for the second shower. I have 7 hostesses for the first shower and 8 for the second so it has been a very tedious task making all the gifts myself. I'm so excited to give them their gifts because I think they're really fun! Can't wait to share them on my blog.

8. We have picked out one bible verse for the scripture reading and are still working on the second one. I also have to pick out one more song for our exit.

9. I finally finished going through all our old pictures for the reception slide show and I picked out all the songs for it so that is currently in the process of being made.

Here is a look at what is left to do on the checklist from now until the end of the month:

1. Decide on wedding favors. I already have an idea in mind, but if you have any suggestions, do tell.

2. Finalize songs and scripture readings.

3. Arrange for day of transportation....already have this in the works too (and it's gonna be fun :))

4. Decide on gifts for the little boys in the angel bell choir. Any suggestions from my cousins whose sons are in the wedding would be a huge help. I'm not quite sure what young boys of various ages like to receive as gifts.

Countdown to the wedding day: 86 days to go!!!!
