Last week/weekend was such a fun one because...
#1. I said "YES" to the dress on Wednesday. After visiting 3 dress shops and trying on A BUNCH of dresses, I picked "the dress" and we bought it. It was such a fun day. Aaron's mom and a few other sweet friends and family came along to help me out. Everyone was very helpful...but at the same time very polite and encouraging. We didn't have any drama queens like in "Say Yes to the Dress". I knew we wouldn't have a problem with that though. Everyone told me the dress I pick will be totally opposite of what I thought I would like. That's not the case with me. My dress is exactly what I had imagined. Although, I did try on a few different styles that I would have never picked out....and I LIKED them a lot. I think most everyone agreed that the dress I bought was the #1 favorite out of them all.
Trying on veils
I love this pic of Aaron's mom and my mom in the dressing room
#2. I got to see my beautiful friend, Caitlin at her baby shower. It was such a nice shower and I thoroughly enjoyed getting to meet all her family and friends. They are lucky to have such a wonderful support group in their family and friends. There's no doubt that baby Caden will be loved and spoiled! I can't wait to meet him soon.
Such a beautiful couple....inside & out. And for the record, she's pretty much the cutest preggo lady I've ever seen.
Baby Uggs
I think Jordan's pretty excited about the baseball bat
I'm pretty sure she was asking him if he's ever changed a diaper before
#3. While I was in Arkansas for the baby shower, I just so happened to run into my favorite person EVER....and we got to spend the rest of the weekend together!
The baby shower was exactly half way between my house and Aaron's house so we thought we'd take advantage of it. We also got to see Aaron's friend and old roommate, Kyle play in a sand volleyball tournament in Fayetteville. They were quite the studs and won all the games we watched. We enjoyed the beautiful weather and shopped a lot!
#4. On my way home from Fayetteville, I made a short stop in Fort Smith to have dinner with this sweet family. They were assigned to be my volleyball host family back when I was a freshman in college. Little did they know, they were signing up to receive a third daughter. They quickly became my saving grace and provided me with a home and a family away from home. I seriously cannot thank them enough for all they've done for me over the years. It's always so great to see them and catch up.
Grace and Gabby, the girls on both ends are going to be in our house party and they will be passing out programs, lighting candles, and guest book attendants....my "go to" girls!
The man of the house, Ed!
#5. I ended the trip with a beautiful sunset on my drive home. Thankful for weekends off, beautiful weather, and quality time spent with very special people.
*Looking forward to spending my next two days off in Texas with these lovely people. I love spontaneous road trips....they are my favorite!
A really old pic from college...can't wait to reunite!
Hope you have a fabulous week!
Love,
Quincee
