My Pinspiration:
source: sarahhearts.com
When I saw this doily banner I knew I had to re-create it for our engagement pictures. I have a box FULL of paper doilies that needed to be used and I thought this was the perfect way to use them. I also knew that I wanted to somehow incorporate burlap and lace with it.
Here is my version:
First I cut out circles of burlap, glued them onto the doilies with super glue and let them dry. It is really hard to glue burlap, by the way. I had super glue all over my fingers for days. I heard spray adhesive worked good, but I didn't have any so super glue it was. Then after it dried, I wrote on the burlap with a black paint pen. Lastly, I tied bows out of lace to put on each side of the set of numbers. I love the way it turned out!
I originally had another idea for a save-the-date and when I saw this picture I had a really hard time deciding which one I wanted to use. Obviously, I went with the other design since I'm showing you this picture. The other design is more "Aaron friendly" and yes it involves Pinterest too....imagine that. Once we send them out, I'll post it on the link-up.
