A Little Lamb Is On It's Way!

On Saturday, I helped host a baby shower for my sister-in-law. Here are a few pictures of all the fun!

Since they aren't finding out the gender, we kept it nice and gender neutral. Their nursery is gray and white with elephants and lambs so we ran with that theme for the shower. Here is the front of the invitation (obviously I edited the personal info out)
Here is the back of the invitation. I ordered the invites from Etsy and she did a fantastic job!
I made this door hanger for the front door at the shower, but it can also be used for the hospital room door once the baby arrives so people know which room is hers. My best friend had one for her shower and hospital room and I loved the idea!
"Thank ewe for coming"
We did an elephant fingerprint balloon bouquet for the guestbook. It was also a fun way to predict the gender.

Here are a few of the onesies I made for the fireplace décor.

Ashley requested a display shower so we displayed the gifts on the fireplace and around the house so everyone could see what she got.

We had a lady make these adorable cookies and they tasted so good!!
We bought a plain white cake from Brown's Bakery and added the marshmallow face to make a little lamb. It's totally not perfect, but I thought it was pretty fun.
One of the other hostesses, Leslie made this adorable fruit display. She did such a good job on it and I loved the way it turned out.
We scattered baby pictures of the parents-to-be around the food table as a conversation starter.
 The food and drink table.
I got to meet sweet baby Ella for the first time. She was such a trooper and slept through the whole thing. She even showed up modeling one of my onesies and headbands and she looked soooo cute in it. Made me so happy!
My aunt, my mom, and our sweet sweet friend Vern.
One of the guests made this adorable diaper owl.

 Oh Ella, you're too cute!
 Ashley and our cousins.
My dad's side of the family. So glad you guys all got to come. We missed you Jaimi, Jamie and Kaylee!

The hostesses & Ashley....thanks for all of your amazing help!

I found this dry erase board in the Target dollar bins so we guessed the due date.
And here is a picture of the completed guest book balloon bouquet.

It was a wonderful shower. Ashley and Trevor got a bunch of great gifts and it was a lot of fun. We played baby Pictionary and it got quite comical at times. Thanks so much for all who came and everyone who helped make it so nice. Now all we need is that baby to get here. AHH can't wait!! Hurry up May!

Catching Up!

Here's a brief overview and some pictures of what we've been doing the past few weekends.
We had a wonderful Valentine's Day. We celebrated the weekend before with dinner and a movie. The day of, we took Samson on a nice, long walk, then we headed to the lake for a picnic and some kayaking. It was the perfect day with Aaron. We didn't catch any fish, but we still had fun.

The following weekend we went back home and celebrated my best friend's birthday with her family and mine. Aaron got to meet this precious guy for the first time.
We cooked out and played games all night. We didn't leave her parents house until after 1am. There was lots of laughter and fun. We played a new game called Telestrations (a cross between Pictionary and Telephone)....it was so fun. We are definitely going to buy it before we go to our next gathering. Thanks for having us over!!

The last weekend of February was spent in Dallas with my mom and sister-in-law. My mom was there for a convention, so we went down and stayed with her. We shopped till we dropped and ate lots of good food. I was impressed that Ashley, being 7 months pregnant was able to shop and be on her feet for so long. I took them to the Gaylord Texan to show them around and we ate at the Italian restaurant inside the hotel. It was a wonderful girls weekend!
Last weekend we drove to Aaron's parent's house and stayed the weekend. On Saturday, while Aaron was at the Bassmaster Classic, I took a little road trip to Arkansas to see my friend Caitlin and celebrate her son's 2nd birthday. It was so great to catch up with her, see her boys, and tour her new beautiful home! It had almost been two years since the last time I was there so we were in desperate need of a reunion.
While Aaron and his friends were at the Classic, they managed to run into Martin and Godwin from Duck Dynasty. Aaron took the picture so he wasn't in it, but he said they were really nice.
I attended the Classic on Sunday. We walked around the expo, met up with our friends, and went to the final weigh-in. Oh, and we took a picture with Big Foot. Aaron is terrified of Big Foot and truly believes in the myth. He was not happy about this picture and that is his very sarcastic, scary face, haha.
You guys, the final weigh-in was insanely cool. I had no clue who any of the fishermen were, but it was a really neat experience and I'm so glad I went. We may have even made plans to travel out of state to attend it next year!
Love this girl!

This weekend has been a rainy, lazy weekend with zero plans. It has been very nice. We rented a movie last night, ate popcorn, and made a pallet on the floor. My idea of the perfect night in. We watched The Intern and it was really cute. I loved it!
Samson also joined in on the laziness. It was my Saturday to work so Aaron went fishing all day. When I got off, I started working on some baby shower decorations for my sister-in-law's shower next month. Can't wait to share pictures of the shower with you all. Now, we're making pizza and about to watch our second movie of the weekend, The 33.

Isn't our life so exciting? I'm sure you don't care about the play-by-play of our lives, but I like to have it on my blog because it is my journal and I like to look back on it. Hopefully next month I'll have time to do some fun posts. I'm working on quite a few crafts/projects as we speak so I'll be sharing those soon!  Happy Weekend!!

My Favorite Easter Pins!

I would have to say Easter is almost my favorite holiday ever. It's a close call between Easter and Christmas, but I always find myself getting so excited to decorate and celebrate Easter. Here are a few of my favorite Easter pins...

The perfect dip for an Easter gathering.
Love this cute Easter bunny pom pom bunting
How cute are these carrot painted Easter eggs? I bought a dozen cardboard eggs and I'm going to do some of them like this and put them in baskets/bowls around the house.

I also love these pineapple eggs.
The perfect Easter morning breakfast

For all my friends that have kids, I think this would be a fun craft and keepsake.
I love this cute paint chip egg garland, how easy would that be?
A cute little Easter snack
I think these eggs would be really neat if they had bible verses written on them.

So there's my Easter inspiration and here's the decorations I've put up in my house so far.
And last time I was at my parent's house my mom made this cute burlap Easter bunny to hang on the door. The picture is terrible quality, but I thought her bunny turned out great!

Happy almost Spring!!
